How to use microneedle roller

Derma rollers have become increasingly popular over the last decade, and many women and men use them for all sorts of skin-related problems---acne, scars, cellulite, stretch marks, anti-aging, wrinkles, and even hyper-pigmentation. A derma roller has hundreds of tiny micro-needles that create tiny punctures in the skin, pushing the pores open for a short period of time. The body reacts as if it has been damaged, releasing growth factors that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, forming new, healthy skin. The roller can be used on almost any part of the body, except the eyelids and lips.

How to use microneedle roller

  1. Create a sterile environment. Wash hands with soap and warm water. Wash the treatment area thoroughly, and dry with a clean towel. Be sure to clean a designated surface to place the things you'll need during the process.
  2. Roll the derma roller in different directions on the skin---four rolls vertically, horizontally and both diagonals should be sufficient enough to ensure desired results and stimulate collagen formation in the skin. Do not press too hard, but apply a significant amount of pressure. If you use your derma roller without the topicaine gel, less pressure should be applied.
  3. Cleansing after treatment is an important step. Wash the area with cold water, and dry gently with a clean washcloth. Apply a quality moisturizer or lotion, preferably with vitamins C and E for best results. If you've used the topicaine gel during your treatment, use an antibacterial cream followed by a quality moisturizer.
  4. Don't touch your skin for two hours after the treatment. Your hands may have bacteria that cause infection. Also avoid sweating, sunshine, steam same day after treatment. Don't put any make up or cosmetic products to your skin same day after treatment.

Very next day you can start using cosmetic products and make up normally. Moisturising your skin after microneedling treatments is very important. Remember also:

  1. Microneedle roller is personal. Dont let anyone else use your microneedle roller. We suggest you to use same roller no more than 5- 8 times for hygienig reasons.
  2. The microneedling should NOT be used on acne lesions, active herpes outbreaks, or any other acute infection or inflammation of the skin. Dont use roller, if you are suffering from Haemophilia.
  3. Do not use microneedling on children or animals! Keep it out of the reach of children.

Wash the dermaroller in warm water and dishwashing liquid, taking care not to damage the needles. Then soak it in disinfecting alcohol for 20 minutes. Discard the alcohol. Air- dry. Put back into container. Keep the container clean with hot water but do not use any cloth or sponge to clean it since those are full of bacteria.

0,2 mm or 0,25 mm long needles can be used every second day on the same skin area.

0,5 mm: long needles can be used once or twice per week on the same skin area.

1,0 mm: can be used every two weeks on the same skin area.

1,5 mm: can only be used once every three to four weeks on the same skin area.

For hygienic reasons we suggest you renew your rollers regularly. Also the roller needles become dull with time which can make treatment painful. Dull needles also might cause skin irritation to the treatment area. Never share your roller with anybody.
